The WNYCCCED serves as the hub for eating disorder services in the 30-county Western New York Region. Directed out of the University of Rochester School of Nursing, the Center is a partnership between the University of Rochester School of Nursing and the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital. It is one of three legislatively mandated comprehensive care centers for eating disorders funded by the New York State Department of Health. The Healing Connection is an affiliate of the WNYCCCED.
The program, within the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Golisano Children's Hospital, is designed to evaluate and treat individuals who have diagnosed eating disorders and to aid those who may be exhibiting signs and symptoms. They see both young men and women who may be in the throes of this disease, or the beginning stages. Continuing to develop and draw upon the most up-to-date and proven methods of treatment, Golisano Children’s Hospital is here to help young people and their families move toward wellness and a healthy adulthood.
