And…starting May 27th: In Person Only ARFID Support Ages 12+
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Eating Disorders
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy, while continuing to build independence in daily life. IOP may be an appropriate next step for those transitioning from Partial Hospitalization, inpatient, or residential treatment, or for individuals whose symptoms require a higher level of care than weekly outpatient services can provide.
This level of care supports people who have made initial progress in recovery and are able to shop for food, prepare meals, and eat independently, with continued structure, accountability, and therapeutic support. Participants bring their own meals and snacks and eat together in a supported group setting, allowing real‑life eating challenges to be addressed in real time.
IOP participants attend programming 2–3 hours per day, three days per week, maintaining connection to work, school, and family while receiving focused, specialized treatment.
IOP includes:
Individual therapy focused on eating disorder recovery and underlying concerns
Structured group therapy, addressing coping skills, body image, emotion regulation, and relapse prevention
Family involvement, when appropriate, to strengthen support systems and communication
Nutrition assessment, counseling, and individualized meal planning
Supported meals, providing guidance, structure, and accountability
Access to recovered peers and trained family members who participate in select program groups
Case management and care coordination to support treatment goals and continuity
IOP is designed to bridge the gap between higher‑intensity care and long‑term outpatient support - helping individuals continue recovery while gaining confidence, flexibility, and autonomy.
