Shelby Willoughby, MSW
Shelby has a B.S in Psychology and Political Science with a minor in human services from Elmira College and obtained her M.A. in Clinical Social Work at Keuka College. Shelby completed her undergraduate internship and Family Counseling Services of the Finger Lakes, where she developed further interest in Trauma care and Adverse Childhood Experiences. Most recently, Shelby was a HARP Recovery Coordinator for a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, working with dual-diagnosis patients. Shelby has experience in grief, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, domestic violence, and disordered eating behaviors. She also has group experience in teaching art based trauma groups and empowerment, crisis, and motivational skills for individuals who are or were experiencing intimate partner violence. Her therapeutic approach integrates a strength based, systems, and person-centered approach through a trauma lens.strengths-based approach to help patients.
